CMS Contracting owns and maintains a comprehensive fleet of construction machinery — from compact 1.5-tonne mini excavators that fit through a side gate to 22-tonne machines for major commercial earthworks. Every machine is regularly serviced, fitted with current safety systems, and backed by our own mechanics.

We don’t hire from other companies. When a CMS machine arrives on your site, it’s come from our yard in Silverwater, and the operator running it has been with us for years. That means better accountability, faster response if something needs fixing, and machines that are looked after because they’re ours.

Frequently Asked Questions About Plant Hire in Sydney

Wet hire means the machine comes with a CMS operator — we supply the equipment and the person to run it. Dry hire means you get the machine only and provide your own licensed operator. We offer both, though wet hire is most popular because our operators know the machines and the work.

Yes. All CMS operators hold current high-risk work licences, white cards, and relevant endorsements. Our team undergoes regular training updates. When you wet hire from CMS, you get operators who are fully ticketed, insured, and WHS compliant.

Typically 24–48 hours across Greater Sydney. Same-day mobilisation is often possible depending on fleet availability. Everything comes from our own Silverwater yard — we don’t rely on third-party hire companies.
