Diesel Plant Mechanic (Full-Time/Casual)

Are you a skilled Diesel Plant Mechanic who’s not afraid to get their hands dirty? Do you take pride in keeping top-tier machinery running at its best? CMS Contracting & Plant Hire is looking for our next superstar to take charge of our growing fleet of 80+ pieces of heavy earthmoving equipment, including excavators, skid steers, dumpers, rollers, trucks, utes, and a range of smaller petrol tools.

What We’re Looking For:
- Cert III Diesel Mechanic Qualification
- OHS White Card
- NSW Drivers Licence (LR/MR/HR an advantage)
- Full working rights in Australia
- Excellent diagnostic & fault-finding skills
- Ability to work autonomously in the field & liaise with staff/clients
- Basic auto electrical knowledge is a plus
- A “can-do” attitude – punctual, reliable, and ready to get stuck in
Your Role:
- Be the go-to mechanic for our growing fleet of heavy-duty earthmoving equipment, ensuring all machinery and vehicles are in peak condition.
- Diagnose and repair excavators, positracks, trucks, utes, and small petrol tools in both the workshop and the field.
- Perform full servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of heavy diesel products.
- Keep up with Health, Safety & Environmental regulations and report any issues.
- Log service reports & timesheets using our digital system.

Excavator/Skid-Steer Operator (Full-Time/Casual)
CMS Contracting & Plant Hire is a respected industry competitor who specialise in all aspects of demolition, earthwork and civil projects. We are well established and have been servicing the Sydney and Greater Metropolitan Area for over 20 years. Due to new operational capacities available at the business, we are currently seeking experienced excavator/skid-steer operators to join our team on either a full-time or casual contract. Ideally, we are looking for applicants to start work immediately.
Job Criteria:
- Minimum 2 years experience operating excavators and/or skid-steer machinery with attachments
- White Card
- VOC and Statement of Attainment
- NSW Drivers Licence (MR/HR Licence an advantage)
- Full working rights in Australia
- Asbestos Removal /Demo Licence not critical, but an advantage
- A ‘can-do’ attitude, punctual and reliable
- A strong understanding of WHS Principles and Practices

Demolition/Civil Labourer or Apprentice (Full-Time/Casual)
CMS Contracting & Plant Hire is a respected industry competitor who specialise in all aspects of demolition, earthwork and civil projects. We are well established and have been servicing the Sydney and Greater Metropolitan Area for the past 20 years. Due to new operational capacities available at the business, we are currently seeking demolition/excavation/civil labourers to join our team on either a full-time or casual contract. We would also be open to offering a civil construction apprenticeship to the right candidate. Ideally, we are looking for applicants to start work immediately.
Job Criteria:
- Minimum 1 year experience on demolition or civil jobs
- OHS White Card
- NSW Drivers Licence (MR/HR Licence an advantage)
- Full working rights in Australia
- Asbestos Removal /Demo Licence not critical, but an advantage
- A ‘can-do’ attitude, punctual and reliable
- Hardworking and can work well in a team environment
- A strong understanding of WHS Principles and Practices
